The versatile and successful company that is SIGNPOST EXPRESS today has its roots in the Marine Industry.

The company was formed in 1988 by owner of Mustang Marine boat builders Jim Pritchard, with his friend and colleague Mick Burrows, and talented sign writer Rychard Bennett.

Rychard was a traditional signwriter who spent a great deal of his time painting names onto newly built or refurbished boats. Realising that technology was taking sign writing into a new era, Jim and Mick took the plunge and invested in the new-age computer cut vinyl equipment.

SIGNPOST EXPRESS was born!

Mick ran the company, and very soon his wife Maggie came 'on board' to help. At that time, Rychard was responsible for the designing and selling of the signs and graphics, and very soon, the company had established themselves as the leading sign company on the Isle of Wight. Rychard left the company in the early nineties for pastures new.

John Heathfield joined the company in 1989 as signmaker and fitter, and Hayley Dawkins, having joined us from school in 1993 makes up the team.
